Poros is near the coast of the Peloponnese, opposite the town of Galatas from which it is possible to make the crossing to Poros in small fishing boats.
Poros is actually two islands, namely Sferia and Kalavria. Sferia is the smallest island, this is the largest part on which the capital city of Poros is built. The larger island, Kalavria, it is fertile, well- vegetated part of Poros. Between the two is a narrow channel, the two islands are connected with a bridge.
The most photographed attraction in Poros is probably the historical clock tower, atop the summit of the hill. From above, you have an excellent view of the city and the Peloponnese.
