Christmas markets
From the third week of November, it is possible to enjoy the Christmas atmosphere at one or more of the 2800 German Christmas markets ("Weihnachtsmarkt"). Stroll and being encharted by thousands of twinkling lights, beautiful colors, Christmas sounds and seductive smells of mulled wine and Christmas cookies. The stalls are made with love and care and show a wealth of Christmas gifts, Christmas decorations and typical German culinary delights. There are small cozy Christmas markets, traditional Christmas markets, childeren's Christmas markets, large modern Christmas markets with Ferris wheel, ice rink and other attractions, small religious Christmas markets around the nativity scene and other Christmas markets or theme. One day Christmas market is not really enough. Especially in the evening are the Christmas markets in Germany at its best with thousands of lights.
