Lesvos is the third largest island of Greece. Lesvos is very irregularly shaped, the bays of Kalloni and Geras split with their huge coves the island nearly in three parts. The east of Lesvos is very green and the west however is very barren.
Mytilini is characterized by a mix of Eastern and Western influences/elements. The Kastro offers an impressive sight from above and gives a beautiful view of the nearby Turkey. In the suburbs are beautiful villas and townhouses.
Lesvos is best known for the various Ouzo brands. The village Plomari does have five distilleries. You can bring (for example) a visit to Varvagiannis.

Furthermore Lesbos has a very unique area in Europe, namely the petrified forest of Sigri. Approximately 15 to 20 million years ago, a volcano erupted and the forests of sequoias were buried under volcanic ash and it petrified.

- Molyvos: nice village with large fortress that dominates the city.
- Petra: Panagia Glykofiloussa church on a 30 meter high rocky outcrop in the middle of the village.
- Eftalou: hot springs.
- Skala Sikamnias: nice harbor village with little church.
- Moria: Roman aqueduct .
- Mantamados: Taxiarchis church/monastery with the icon of the Archangel, the patron saint of the island.
- Skala Kalloni: nice resort with nearby saltpans with flamingos.
- Kalloni: just outside the village there are two monasteries, the monastery Limonas with 40 churches around in the nearby area and Panagis tis Myrsiniotissa.
- Skala Eressou
- Sigr : 10 km from here Moni Ipsilou.
- Agiassos: nice mountain village/Panagia Agiasiotissa church.
